Avocado yields in Kenya

The yield is determined by dividing the total amount of avocados harvested in kilograms by the total area harvested. It is measured in kilograms per hectare (kg/ha).

In Kenya, the total avocado yields in 2024 were 23,481.4 kg/Ha, a 16.4% increase from 20,176.3 kg/Ha in 2023.

The total value of avocados produced in Kenya

The total value of avocados produced in Kenya was Ksh 29.5 billion in 2024, a 24.5% increase from Ksh 23.7 billion in 2023.

Murang’a County is the leading producer of avocados in Kenya

In 2023, Murang'a County was the leading producer of avocados in Kenya, accounting for 24.7% of the total value of avocados in Kenya.[4]

In 2023, Murang'a produced 200,991 metric tons of avocados, followed by Kisii, which produced 74,904 metric tons in the same year.
